Just wanted to share some pics I found when I was finding past photos of the sky which I took. I didn't realise I amass such a large collection! The first pic is taken from a tumblr user though. 

 I still remember this was taken at East Coast Park when my secondary school asked us to do community service for our accumulation of points 

And this was when at Vivo City I think? I only remember that it was really beautiful and interesting to me so I just took a shot ^^'

Hmm this was probably around national day a few years back? I have forgotten about it really.

Fun day was well fun I guess but because I was sick and recovering slowly, by noon, I was in a very tired mood plus getting a little light headed. I don't really do well underneath the sun for long hours. The games was kind of childish but it was fun! Testing our aims and our minds. Mostly I enjoyed talking to my other friends from another class, all the unglamorous pictures I took, the posed and ready to be taken ones and the fake tattoo using airbrush. Oh and lets not forget about the free ice cream! Can't really forget about the ice cream especially coffee flavoured ones. I'm coffee addicted and did drink a cup that morning so I was really happy when I could eat one *laughs*

Tomorrow's the assessment. I hope everything goes well for my classmates and I. The most stressing part is my 3D model..... I'm scared that it was drop since the bass and the acrylic tube isn't really attached because I wanted my model a little more freedom. And the other stressing thing to me is the dress code!!! I know I the clothes I wear are within the rules of my school but what if the female population of the school have to wear skirts! I'm sure pants is allowed but my anxiety filled brain just won't stop asking that single question *cries* what about shows?! Please don't tell me they expect us girls to wear heels or formal shoes. I only have ballet flats and sneakers as my last pair of heels broke just last month with the bottom soles coming out and accidentally being thrown away! It was my favourite too *cries yet again*

No point in over thinking...... As long as my sketch book and model is completed I'm pretty calm... A little.

Tick Tok, Clock's ticking

So this assignment is that I'm uploading is about how we choose one item within the six, Clock, Pencil, Plug, Cup, Computer Mouse and Candle and match it to 6 words:  Sad, Passionate, Hard Working, Greedy, Brave and Creative.  These are my ideas:

Apologies if you can't really read them too well. My hands always has a tremble to them whenever I try to take a picture. I hope it's clear enough to read. The words beside each drawings are my small descriptions on all the drawings I made and how I thought of designing them.

This would most likely be the last post I would make on this blog as next week is assessment week and I would e pretty busy trying to brush up on some of my artworks. Besides that, this week is Fun Day which falls on the same day as Children's Day. I hope the haze wouldn't be so bad if not there won't be as much fun as was planned in the schedule. People are getting sick too from the haze so better stay indoors and drink lots of water~

Last week I finally learn how to draw anatomy! Though I would have to brush up a little since I'm still new to this topic. My 3D model for my final project is finally done as well! But now I would have to go and clean up my first projects second model. Have to go and buy some hard A4 size paper just to print my rationale for it and also to bring either a board or cloth just for the background =_=|| I've also completed my 2D's A2 size paper! It's really beautiful too and I'm really happy to see the outcome too! Hopefully I won't have to edit it cause it's stick tightly onto the paper *Cries*

I really love the colours in these artworks. It's soft and has a watercolour like texture which I really like. The first four pictures really gets my attention due to they're colour scheme and also the designs. Especially the first picture. The details always makes me really focus on the picture longer than others. The last picture, the thing that caught my attention was the background. I like how the artists used the colours and how the clouds were drawn to make it looks like the usual fantasy kinds even though it isn't.

 I seldom could see the eyes of a cat in a very clear way. Yes though there are lots of cats downstairs my block, They are usually quite far away from me at that time, sleeping or just plain cautious whenever I walk pass them. It really is so frustrating sometimes..... But in this picture, the Prussian Blues eyes are really clear and I could see all the different shades of green in it and the texture it has.

I like this picture too. It really gives a ethereal feel to it. The fantasy feel and imaginative way the artist created in it makes it even more to look at it.

Analogical Thinking

Phone stand-> iPlunge 

Instead of a huge stand that takes up lots of space in our bags, iPlunge is smaller and takes up little space. It could also be detached and used for other stuff like picking up your phone if your hands are wet or slippery.

Charger-> portable charger 

Having portable chargers makes it so that we don't need to find electrical sockets to charge our phone when we're out of the house or in need of charging our phone.

Leaves-> cup-> water bottle 

Water bottles are convenient as we can carry it around whenever we go out of our house we don't have to be scared that the water would drip or spill due to the bottle cap that comes with it.

Solar system-> watch 

By making it into a watch, we can not only tell the time, date or seconds, we can also learn about the solar system and the position its in during that time.

Clothes-> jacket-> hoodie

Hoodie is a very clever invention as sometimes we are really cold but we don't want to wear so many layers of clothing. A hoodie can function as the clothes and also a jacket.

Horse- > carriages-> car

Cars and take us to places in just a few hours or a few minutes. In the past, it took people days to get from one place to another. Some even took months just to get to that location. With cars, we could get there faster especially for the people who are injured and need medical attention immediately.

Birds-> aeroplane 

Aeroplane is also another invention which made our lives easier. Instead of sailing to see using boats which takes us a few days to weeks to get to our destination, we can get there in just a few hours.

Candle-> oil lamp-> light bulb 

Light bulbs helps us see things clearly. Though fire helps too, however due to the large amount of shadows it would create, we can mostly see things a little clearly.

Hard disk-> Thumb drive 

In the past, hard disks were the only things which could transfer our data to another computer hard disk, now, we can use thumb drives to not only transfer stuff but take it every where we go.

Haversack -> bags-> luggage 

Luggages could carry even more things than a bag when we go over seas.

Wood board-> Chalk board-> white board 

Using white boards makes the teachers life easier as it is easy to clean, write and erase unlike chalk boards or wood boards.

Rope->  String-> rubber band/elastic band

Elastic bands tie things easily unlike string or rope which has no elastic properties in it. 

Specs-> contacts-> laser 

People with bad eye sights can now see clearly and look beautiful/handsome at the same time without having to wear spectacles.

Natural hair-> wigs 

People who are self conscious of themselves without hair or want to have another hairstyle during cosplaying, could use wigs to cover it up. 

Charcoal-> Match sticks-> lighter-cooking gun-> cooking stove-> induction cooker 

Not only is electrical cooking faster, we could also change the temperature to however high we want and not having to fear if the gas ran out.

Ice bags/persevere-> fridge 

Storing things in a fridge to preserve it longer while also keeping it fresh like it just came off the shelves from the super market.

Mouse-mouse-> touchpad 

Using sensors to sense our motion, a touchpad is much faster and could get the job done easily then a mouse which would need a mouse pad so that it could sense or motions.

Walking-> trains-> bicycles-> etc 

The evolution of transportation allows us to go through our lives easily and in record time if we live quite far away from the destination we are heading to.

Plastic-> silicone-> tempered glass 

Tempered glass are used to replace glass which could break easily and are much more cheaper

(Car) Gas-> air-> water 

The petroleum for our cars are harming our earth's atmosphere due to the large amount of carbon dioxide it releases. Now using clean energy, it could not only slow down the green house effect, it could also save our planet.

Real tattoos -> temporary tattoos 

People who could not get tattoos especially children who find it cool can get temporary tattoos which washes off quite easily and would be gone in a few days.

Chalk-> marker-> stylus

Like a touchpad, the stylus can make our lives easier as we don not have to fear that the ink would run out or we would have to buy some more. Stylus could also be used on phones for those who have big fingers and could not press the icons on their phone easily.

Lazy, lazy

The idea for this particular 'art' is really new, different and interesting. Normally whenever we have to use a coin to scratch the grey stuff off to get a lucky draw, we have never thought of putting it together with art. Now this company based in Korea decided to combine the two things into one! From what I could see in the picture, it is really really beautiful. When you incorporate in the direction the light would shine into some parts of the buildings, it truly becomes a master piece! At first, I thought it was a really well known artist that drew and painted it with gold ink. However after reading the article that changed my mind because this way, anyone who isn't talented in drawing or not really artistic could do this! 

Though I'm a little disappointed that they can't ship worldwide, but at least they sell it in Amazon, Esty and eBay.

That's all! Arts in Practice is getting closer and closer now. Not to mention the assessment in October and I have yet to put together my Drawing Fundamental sketch book.... Damn it! Shouldn't have used two sketch books both A4 and A3! It's super troublesome to put them into one book.... Oh well..... I'm debating on putting them together now or waiting...... Maybe I'll wait as this week there is another 9 more that I have to put in. Maybe two to one weeks before I'll put them together.

Synopsis on Tomorrowland + daily photos

Here's the summary of what I learned in the movie, Tomorrowland

~

After watching the movie Tomorrowland, I realised the message it was trying to convey. Ignoring all the fight scenes and the chase, the movie was trying to tell us about global warming, politics, racial discrimination, maybe a little religious beliefs as well and also the possibility of making everything right and never giving up. In the movie, it has been brought up during Casey's classes that global warming is affecting the ice caps in the north and south poles.  Later when she got into Tomorrowland and saw the future, we could also see fights being broken out in parts of the world, natural disasters and many things happening. But Casey believes that everything can be fixed if we let our creativity go, never giving up due to pressure or even when you know it cannot be fixed. However trying and giving in some effort can change lots of outcomes and make a worst case scenario into something good.

Stories

Okay, so the homework is Pareidolia. I have no idea if it is spelled correctly but it's about how you can see faces in woods or buildings, cars anything! So my theme is wood as you can see in the pictures and to write about a story on how they would get this expressions. The character I would be using is called William, Will for short. His Brother Andy, Elaine a classmate and his 8 year old cousin. They're original characters and original personalities.

On with the show then

Tired

It was a tired day for Will as he slowly trudge back home. There were so much projects to be done and so little time to finish it. Sleep didn't come as easily as in the past and it was taking a toll on his mind and body. Dark eye bags could be seen underneath his eyes. 

Pity

Looking at the person sitting along the side walk, a container in front of him with a few coins and notes in it, Will felt nothing but pity for these people. Sometimes, he would think what led to them leading such life? Was it due to unforeseen circumstances that led to them to such states or was it because they were originally poor? He did not continue thinking about it. Taking a note from his wallet, he dropped it into the container.  

Astonished

Will was quite astonished when he came back home. His older brother, who was studying in a university overseas, was sitting at the dinning table eating a late lunch made by his mother. Though his older brother and him were close and literally joined at the hip when they were younger, he seldom called or updated his parents on his wellbeing or how was school. 

"Oh! Will! You're back! And here I thought I could eat your lunch portion too." His older brother joked.

"Yeah, I'm home."

Happy

Continuation of Astonished

"I'm glad to see you're back. When did you get back?" Will asked, taking a sit at the dining table after kissing his mother on the cheek and telling her he was home.

"Well, since we had a months break after that huge examination we took, I decided to check up on Mom, Dad and of course my baby brother." Andy teased, taking Will into a chock hold and ruffling his hair.

"I'm glad you're back brother but stop messing up my hair!" Will said, attempting to escape his elder siblings hold. However soon, a smile spread across his lips as he laughed. 

Surprised

Will felt his jaw drop just a little as he looked at the present in front of him. It was a PS4, a game console that he always wanted since he heard that Kingdom Hearts 3 would be coming out soon. However he didn't have a lot of savings in his bank account yet and decided to get a part time job during the holidays which was in a few weeks time. But never would he have imagined that his parents would buy for him instead because of getting good grades in his exams! Smiling in happiness, he hugged both of his parents and thanked them profusely. Now it seems that he would have to save a little more to only buy the game.

Shock

"There was no way this was happening." Will thought as he peeked from beneath his eyelashes. A few minutes ago, two of his friends and him were walking home when one of them decided to get some snacks while they walk home. Deciding that it would be alright since they weren't in a rush to get home, they entered a convenience store. Not five minutes later, gunshots were sounded in the store and a voice were commanding every one to get on the ground while the cashier took out all the money in the cash register.

Will was numbed with shock and fear that he tried to convince himself that this just wasn't happening at all and everything was a dream. 

Speechless 

Slowly, Will turned his head and looked at her.

"Could you repeat that please? I think I may have misheard what you were saying." the blush on Elaine's face grew as she stammered and fidgeted a little.

"I-I said thank you! Thank you for helping me." The blush was residing from her cheeks instead a pout was forming as she crossed her arms, looking anywhere but at Will.

Will just cannot believe it. Proud, arrogant and sarcastic Elaine was thanking him! She never thanked anyone at all! Her pride and the way she looks down on anyone made her hard to get along. Most of all, she never thanked anyone, at all! Now here she was talking to him and thanking him for something he did to help her! 

"Err....you're welcome?"  

Frowning 

A frown appeared on his forehead as he thought long and hard how to answer the question in front of him. No matter what he tired though, it seems that the answer is wrong according to the answer sheet at the back of the book. Sighing in frustration, his frown grew prominent as Will slammed the book shut and sighed loudly. 

"I'll get that question tomorrow." He thought, turning off the lights and going to sleep.

Angry

His first reaction was shock before it became anger as it coursed throughout him. He never did like his 8 year old cousin. Never did and never will. The child was a brat, annoying anyone when he wasn't given enough attention and took people's stuff and destroy them just for his amusement. Will never really interacted much with his cousin as he couldn't stand him. However the child made it his personal mission to annoy him a lot in family gatherings.

This time, his cousin thought it was a bright idea to go inside his room during a family gathering at their house. Not only did the child made a mess of his room while he explored, he tore his five page long essay which wasn't even finished and due tomorrow! Not to mention the model he finished just yesterday!

He turned a glare at the child standing in front of him. His cousin looked like he was going to cry soon but Will didn't care as he took a deep breath to stop himself from letting his anger out on his cousin.

"Get out."

"W-Will, I'm-"

"I don't want your explanation nor your apology. Get out of my room now."

"B-but-"

"GET. OUT!" Will stressed the words while pointing a finger at the door. 

His cousin cried but slowly he walked out of the door. Slamming the door shut and locking, it incase his bad shit crazy Aunt came to scold him for making her precious son cry, Will got to work in tidying his room. The model took some time to glue back together but it was manageable. It was his essay which took him the better of three hours to finish not only the five page which were torn but also another five to complete it.

Sighing, Will rubbed his temple.

"I hate kids."

Sad

Blowing his nose into a tissue, Will wiped away his tears as he continued to eat his popcorn. Andy and him were watching a movie. However, his big brother forgot to mention that it was filled with lots of sad scenes. If there was one thing Will hate the most, it was sad scenes. Not only was he emotional, he cried at scenes which were sad like a girl. His brother always find it amusing at the end of every movie and so Will should have expected it when Andy told him that he would love this movie. How many times does this make it when Andy tricked him into thinking this was a normal movie.

Wiping his face with another tissue, Will muttered "I hate you"

Andy laughed as he ruffled his brothers hair. "I love you too baby brother. Now be quiet, this is the most exciting part."

"You mean the most tragic part of the movie."

"Shush, its coming soon."

Sighing in resignation, Will prepared himself for another hour till the movie ends.

That's the end of it! Phew, it's been a while since I types anything related to stories. But I think I did good although I think I'm a little rusty is some areas? Oh well, at least it came out what I had imagined. On a side note, today's quote is written by someone who wrote a book which I really like. It's called The Alchemist and really beautiful. The author uses simple words and could be easily understandable. So I recommend this book and all the works the author writes. However all his books are really deep and would most likely need experience or wisdom to understand them so I suggest not only reading the summary but also a few chapters of the book if it isn't wrapped.

I've been looking for pictures these few days and I think these are really amazing. Especially the very first picture. It is my favourite. It makes me think of the past during the Greek era where sculptures and architectures were being constructed and build. Not only that, it also somehow reminds me of the Egyptian era. I have no idea how it is linked at all though... The pictures with the squirrels are also amazing. In Singapore they are hard to find since, well, you have to go to densely populated places near forest to see them and be quick about taking a picture of them as they are fast. I'm not too sure about other countries but I have to say the photographer who caught them on camera was really very lucky. We can really see them in nature and what they do to go about their day. In the pictures I find them very intelligent. It's like they are playing catch and making snowman's from the snow like a human being.
